A CSC counter is not a shop with invoices. So we built something else.
Counter Diary exists because the tools made for traders do not fit the way a Common Service Centre handles money.
The problem at the counter
A busy CSC moves money hundreds of times a day, in small amounts, across cash, two or three bank accounts and several wallets. An AEPS withdrawal takes cash out of the drawer and puts float into a wallet. A money transfer brings cash in and sends float out. A PAN card earns a service charge. Commission arrives weeks later. Two staff members record entries on two phones, often with one bar of signal.
A paper diary cannot keep three balances in step. A spreadsheet needs someone to sit down at night and type. Billing apps are built around invoices, stock and GST returns, and charge extra for every staff login. Khata apps track what customers owe, not what is in your drawer.
So most owners end up with a diary, a calculator, a few screenshots and a nagging feeling at closing time.
What we set out to do
Build a diary that an operator can use with one hand between customers, that keeps every balance right by itself, that works when the network does not, and that shows the owner the whole day from anywhere. Then price it so that any centre can afford it, and keep improving it every month.
How we build it
- Like a ledger, not a notes app. Every entry moves money from one account to another, so cash, bank and wallet totals cannot drift apart. Nothing is deleted; mistakes are reversed with a reason.
- The phone first. Saving never waits for the network. Uploading happens by itself, in order, without duplicates.
- The server decides. Who may see a balance or close the day is checked on our servers on every request, not just on the screen. A removed staff member or device is cut off within seconds.
- Plain words. Cash in, cash out, transfer, service charge. No debit and credit, no chart of accounts.
- One product. We do not build for restaurants or garment shops. Everything we make is for the CSC counter.
Our promises to owners
These are the reasons to choose us, and the standard you can hold us to.
Made only for the CSC counter
AEPS, money transfer, wallet top-ups, commission and service charges are built in, with the words you already use. Nothing to configure.
New features every month
Dues and reminders, a services help book and bank-style statements are next. Updates arrive on their own; there is nothing to download.
One price, everything included
Staff logins, reports and downloads are not add-ons. ₹999 a year covers all of it, and every feature we add later.
Your price stays your price
The price you join at does not go up while you stay subscribed, even as the product grows.
Your data stays yours
Download everything as CSV whenever you like. Your data is stored in India and is never sold or shared with anyone.
Help from real people
WhatsApp or email, in Hindi or English. We answer within one working day, usually much sooner, and we fix real problems first.
What we have built, and what is next
October 2026 added dues with WhatsApp reminders, a services help book, loans and owner's money, and statements with a customer khata. Hindi in the app is next. Read what's new.
