Counter Diary

Terms of service

The agreement between you and us when you use Counter Diary. Short, and in plain words.

Last updated: 5 October 2026. Counter Diary is provided by SN Corporates, SNC Building, Kanchanpur, North Tripura, Tripura 799270 ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy.

1. What Counter Diary is

A web application for recording money movements at a Common Service Centre or similar counter business: entries, account balances, daily closings, reports. It is a record-keeping tool. It does not move money, file returns or replace your accountant.

2. Your account

  • You must be 18 or older and have the authority to act for the business you register.
  • Keep your password private. You are responsible for what is done under your login. Tell us at once if you think it has been misused.
  • The CSC owner controls the CSC: its data, its staff, its devices and its subscription. Staff access is granted and withdrawn by the owner.

3. Your data

  • Your diary belongs to you. We process it only to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy.
  • You can download your data as CSV at any time.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of what is entered and for complying with laws that apply to your business, including tax and record-keeping rules.
  • Entries cannot be deleted by design; they are reversed. This is how the diary stays trustworthy. It is not a defect.

4. Trial, payment and renewal

  • New CSCs get a free trial of 14 days with full features. No payment details are needed.
  • After the trial, continued use needs a paid plan: ₹149 per month or ₹999 per year, plus GST at the applicable rate (18% at the time of writing). Prices are shown on the pricing page.
  • Payment is by UPI from inside the app. Your plan is activated when we confirm the payment, usually within a few hours on working days. A GST invoice is emailed to you.
  • If a plan is not renewed, the CSC becomes read-only after a short grace period: you can view and download, but not add entries, until you renew.
  • The price you subscribe at does not increase for you while your subscription stays continuously active. We may change prices for new customers or after a lapse.
  • Cancellation and refunds are covered by the refund and cancellation policy.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use Counter Diary to break the law, to record transactions you are not permitted to carry out, to attack or overload the service, or to access another CSC's data. Do not share one login between several people; invite them instead. We may suspend an account that breaks these rules, after contacting you where possible.

6. Availability and support

  • We aim for the service to be available at all times, and we plan maintenance for off-hours. Because entries are saved on your device first, short outages do not stop you from recording.
  • Support is available on WhatsApp and email on working days. We answer within one working day.
  • We may update, add or change features at any time. We will not remove a core feature without notice.

7. Our responsibility

  • We take care to keep the service accurate, secure and backed up daily. Still, software can have faults. Check your balances at closing, as you would with any diary.
  • To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits or indirect losses.
  • Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 where it applies.

8. Ending the agreement

You can close your account at any time from Settings or by writing to us. We can end the agreement with 30 days' notice, or at once for a serious breach. On ending, you may download your data for 90 days, after which it is deleted as described in the privacy policy.

9. Changes to these terms

We will tell you in the app and by email at least 15 days before a change that affects you takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new terms.

10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Tripura have jurisdiction. We would much rather sort things out by talking first: info@counterdiary.com.
