Everything in the diary
Counter Diary does one job: keep the money at a CSC counter right, every day, on every phone. Here is all of it.
Recording entries
The entry types a Common Service Centre actually uses, in the words you already use.
Cash in and cash outMoney a customer gives you or you give them, with the service, the customer and a note. UTR or reference number optional.
AEPS withdrawal and depositCash leaves the drawer, your AEPS wallet goes up, and the commission is recorded with it.
Transfer between your accountsCash deposited to the bank, bank to wallet top-up, wallet to cash. Both balances move in one entry.
Service chargePAN card, Aadhaar update, printouts, form filling. Your fee, recorded as income.
Commission receivedMonthly commission from a bank or a portal, credited to the right account.
ExpenseRent, electricity, tea, paper. Pick a category and see what the shop spends.
Reverse a mistake, never delete itA wrong entry is reversed with a reason. The original and the reversal both stay, so the diary is always complete.
Balance correctionWhen the real balance differs, the owner records a correction with a reason, instead of editing history.
Accounts and balances
Every rupee is in one of your accounts, and every entry moves money between two of them. So the totals always add up.
Cash in handThe drawer. Its balance includes entries still waiting to upload from a phone.
Bank accountsAs many as you have: SBI, PNB, a co-operative bank. Each with its own history.
WalletsAEPS, DMT, recharge and bill-payment wallets. See how much float is left in each.
Account history with running balanceLike a passbook: every entry for that account, and the balance after each one.
Opening balancesStart with what is in the drawer and the bank today. No need to enter the past.
Staff
Give each person their own login and exactly the access they need.
Invite by emailThe staff member accepts the invitation and sets their own password. You never know or share it.
Permissions you tickRecord entries, see own or everyone's entries, see cash, bank or wallet balances, see commission, manage customers, close the day, see reports, download.
PresetsCounter staff, senior staff and manager, as starting points. Change any tick any time.
Disable or removeOne tap. Access ends within seconds on every device. Their past entries stay in the diary.
Staff-wise totalsHow much each person recorded, by day or by period.
Offline and live
Phones with a weak signal, and several screens that must agree.
Save first, upload laterEntries are saved on the phone the moment you tap Save and upload automatically when the network returns, in order, with no duplicates.
Live on every deviceAn entry on one phone shows on the owner's phone and the counter computer within a second or two.
Sync CenterWhat is waiting, what was refused and why, and a Sync now button for the impatient.
Never lose a waiting entryLogging out is blocked while entries are waiting. Removed devices keep their unsent entries until the owner allows them again.
Install as an appAdd it to the home screen on Android or iPhone, or install it on Windows and Mac from the browser. No app store, nothing to update by hand.
Daily closing
The evening cash count, done properly.
Count by notes₹500, ₹200, ₹100, ₹50, ₹20, ₹10 and coins. The total is worked out for you.
Compare with the diaryDiary says ₹22,850, drawer has ₹22,800: the ₹50 difference is recorded with a reason, never hidden.
Owner correctionFound a mistake later? The owner can correct a closing. The original stays in the history.
Closing historyEvery day's closing, who did it, whether the cash matched.
ReminderA nudge in the evening if the day has not been closed.
